This is a hearty burger recipe for two, featuring robust beef, savory bacon, and blue cheese, all topped off with Taiwan's own Anita's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce . The recommended cooking time is approximately 90 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 380g of sirloin steak or beef tenderloin

  • 4 slices of bacon with plenty of fat

  • 2 hamburger buns

  • Half an onion

  • 30ml of Anita's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

  • Some blue cheese

Cooking Tips:

  • 1. If you're using pre-ground beef, especially one with higher fat content like chuck, you can skip adding bacon fat and use a teaspoon of barbecue sauce instead.

  • 2. Be cautious with Anita's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce; it's spicier than regular import brand hot sauces, so it is recommended to adjust the amount according to your preference.

Instructions:

  • 1. Ensure the steak is partially thawed, about 80% thawed.

  • 2. Cut the beef into small cubes, then chop it until it retains some small meat chunks. If using a meat grinder, use a medium-coarse blade and pass it through twice. Avoid using a food processor, as it may make the meat too fine and lose its texture.

  • 3. Season the beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/2

  • teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

  • 4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and fry the bacon until slightly crispy. Choose bacon with a higher fat content. Once done, pour out the bacon fat and set it aside.

  • 5. Add the bacon fat to the seasoned beef and mix thoroughly.

  • 6. Prepare a flat-bottomed bowl or a round, flat container lined with plastic wrap. Divide the beef into two portions and place them inside the container, using the plastic wrap to shape them into round patties. Freeze for at least 1 hour; this helps the burgers hold their shape. If you're short on time, adding a teaspoon of flour to the beef can aid in shaping.

  • 7. After an hour, remove the meat patties from the freezer; they should be slightly frozen and hold their shape. Without washing the skillet, place the beef patties and onion slices in the skillet over medium heat and cook for 3 to 9 minutes until desired doneness. If the beef patties are completely frozen,

  • .cover the skillet and continue to cook on low heat for about 8 minutes.

  • 8. Cut the hamburger buns in half and place the cooked beef patties and onion slices on the buns.

  • 9. Spread an appropriate amount of blue cheese on the beef.

  • 10. Place the burgers in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.

  • 11. Remove the burgers from the oven and top them with Anita's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce.

  • 12. Finally, add the bacon. Your delicious burger is ready to be enjoyed! We hope you like it!

  • Anita's Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce is the recommended chili sauce brand for this recipe to give that extra kick. It's made from Habanero chillies grown in Taiwan.
