Anita’s Hot Sauce Wins 3 Awards At World’s Most Competitive Fiery Foods Festival

Taiwan-based Hot Sauce Company announces Scovie Award Wins

Anita’s Hot Sauce, the Taiwan based creator of a full line of Hot Sauces is pleased to announce it’s 2021 Scovie Award wins. The 2021 Scovie Awards judging panel of top culinary experts honored Anita’s “The Wrath” with a silver in the World Beat XXX category. In addition, Anita’s “The Torcher” won a silver medal in the Fruit Based XXX and the “Turmeric Ma La” won bronze in the Chilli oil category.

The Scovie Awards evolved from the 1996 National Fiery Foods Festival & Barbecue Show in New Mexico. The judging, which is not open to the public, consists of 80-100 judges, mostly food professionals, who sample products in coded cups in a “blind taste testing''. They fill out judging forms and rate the products according to eye appeal, aroma, flavor and heat scale. The Scovie Awards is recognized as a stamp of excellence in spicy foods among consumers and retailers alike.

We have always been confident that our sauces could compete on the world stage,” said Anita Chiu, co-founder and creator of Anita’s Hot Sauce. “We are proving that Taiwan can create world class Hot Sauces using locally sourced ingredients. We would like to thank our local farmers and loyal customers for their support.”

It has been an eventful few months for Anita’s Hot Sauce. After being featured on Taiwan television in September, Anita’s “The Classic” won a Great Taste award from the UK. Anita’s Hot Sauce started when “The Classic” was served as a table condiment at Anita Chiu’s restaurant. Soon customers asked to buy it in bottles. Since then, Anita’s has added a line of sauces that have their own story, flavor and heat level.
